In this paper we establish the existence and the uniqueness of the solution of a special class of BSDEs for Lévy processes in the case of a Lipschitz generator of sublinear growth. We then study a related problem of logarithmic utility maximization of the terminal wealth in the filtration generated by an arbitrary Lévy process.
We define power variation estimators for the drift parameter of the stochastic heat equation with the fractional Laplacian and an additive Gaussian noise which is white in time and white or correlated in space. We prove that these estimators are consistent and asymptotically normal and we derive their rate of convergence under the Wasserstein metric.
We introduce a stochastic partial differential equation (SPDE) with elliptic operator in divergence form, with measurable and bounded coefficients and driven by space-time white noise. Such SPDEs could be used in mathematical modelling of diffusion phenomena in medium consisting of different kinds of materials and undergoing stochastic perturbations. We characterize the solution and, using the Stein–Malliavin calculus, we prove that the sequence of its recentered and renormalized spatial quadratic variations satisfies an almost sure central limit theorem. Particular focus is given to the interesting case where the coefficients of the operator are piecewise constant.
In this paper the fractional Cox–Ingersoll–Ross process on ${\mathbb{R}_{+}}$ for $H<1/2$ is defined as a square of a pointwise limit of the processes ${Y_{\varepsilon }}$, satisfying the SDE of the form $d{Y_{\varepsilon }}(t)=(\frac{k}{{Y_{\varepsilon }}(t){1_{\{{Y_{\varepsilon }}(t)>0\}}}+\varepsilon }-a{Y_{\varepsilon }}(t))dt+\sigma d{B^{H}}(t)$, as $\varepsilon \downarrow 0$. Properties of such limit process are considered. SDE for both the limit process and the fractional Cox–Ingersoll–Ross process are obtained.
In this paper we present some new limit theorems for power variations of stationary increment Lévy driven moving average processes. Recently, such asymptotic results have been investigated in [Ann. Probab. 45(6B) (2017), 4477–4528, Festschrift for Bernt Øksendal, Stochastics 81(1) (2017), 360–383] under the assumption that the kernel function potentially exhibits a singular behaviour at 0. The aim of this work is to demonstrate how some of the results change when the kernel function has multiple singularity points. Our paper is also related to the article [Stoch. Process. Appl. 125(2) (2014), 653–677] that studied the same mathematical question for the class of Brownian semi-stationary models.
In this paper we define the fractional Cox–Ingersoll–Ross process as $X_{t}:={Y_{t}^{2}}\mathbf{1}_{\{t<\inf \{s>0:Y_{s}=0\}\}}$, where the process $Y=\{Y_{t},t\ge 0\}$ satisfies the SDE of the form $dY_{t}=\frac{1}{2}(\frac{k}{Y_{t}}-aY_{t})dt+\frac{\sigma }{2}d{B_{t}^{H}}$, $\{{B_{t}^{H}},t\ge 0\}$ is a fractional Brownian motion with an arbitrary Hurst parameter $H\in (0,1)$. We prove that $X_{t}$ satisfies the stochastic differential equation of the form $dX_{t}=(k-aX_{t})dt+\sigma \sqrt{X_{t}}\circ d{B_{t}^{H}}$, where the integral with respect to fractional Brownian motion is considered as the pathwise Stratonovich integral. We also show that for $k>0$, $H>1/2$ the process is strictly positive and never hits zero, so that actually $X_{t}={Y_{t}^{2}}$. Finally, we prove that in the case of $H<1/2$ the probability of not hitting zero on any fixed finite interval by the fractional Cox–Ingersoll–Ross process tends to 1 as $k\to \infty $.
We show that if a random variable is the final value of an adapted log-Hölder continuous process, then it can be represented as a stochastic integral with respect to a fractional Brownian motion with adapted integrand. In order to establish this representation result, we extend the definition of the fractional integral.
